Burglary - San Jose. An unknown suspect entered a construction site on Bascom Avenue after business hours and stole $1,350.00 dollars worth of copper pipe and welding equipment. The suspect(s) are unknown and remain at large.
Possession of a Controlled
Substance - San Jose. At approxiately 630 pm, a vehicle code enforcement stop was made at the intersection of Leland Avenuw and San Carlos Street. The passenger had a “no cite” warrant out of San Jose Police. During a search of the vehicle, two glass pipes and one plastic baggie of methamphetamine was located. Driver was cited and released for possession of drug paraphernalia. The passenger was booked on the warrants and 11377(a) H&S, Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Possession of Cocaine for Sale - San Jose. During a vehicle stop at Parkmoor and Pioneer Avenues, it was discovered that the suspect had approximately 13.7 grams of cocaine and a digital scale in his vehicle. The suspect was arrested and booked into the Main Jail.

Recovered Stolen Vehicles - San Jose. Over the weekend, Deputies recovered five stolen vehicles from the Burbank area. All vehicles were left parked on various streets and will be returned to their rightful owners. There are no known suspect(s) at this time, but the investigation is ongoing.

Possession of Methamphetamine - San Jose. During a traffic stop at the intersection of Leland and Moorpark, the driver produced a satchel that contained .05 grams of methamphetamine and a glass methamphetamine pipe. Three additional baggies were located in his vehicle that contained a combined weight of 0.8 grams of methamphetamine. The suspect was booked at the Main Jail.
Assault with a Deadly Weapon - San Jose. At approximately 7pm, an assault with a deadlyweapon occurred at the New Furniture Outlet on Stevens Creek Blvd. As the victim was working in the store, five unknown suspects entered the store Victim was struck in the head with a small black baton. Victim was transported to VMC where he received approximately 20 stitches for his injuries. The suspects are still at large.

Grand Theft - San Jose. As a technician was installing new computers in a business office on Moorpark avenue, unknown suspects took a desktop computer from a cart. The computers value is estimated at $600. There are no known suspects at this time.

Attempted Robbery- San Jose. Two unknown suspects approached the victim as he was walking home on San Carlos Avenue. One of the suspects pushed the victim into a parked vehicle and held a knife to his throat. The suspect demanded the victim give him his property. No property was taken from the victim and both suspects ran away in a westbound direction. The victim was not hurt during the incident. The suspects are unknown and at large at this time.

Possession of Methamphetamine - San Jose. Suspect was observed in the Party Time parking lot with his pants unbuttoned and unzipped. Suspect is on active county probation for being under the influence and has a search clause. During a search of his vehicle, a used glass methamphetamine pipe and two baggies of methamphetamine were discovered. The suspect was booked into the Main Jail.

Possession of a Controlled Substance - San Jose. During a traffic stop in the area of Moorpark ad Bascom Avenue, Deputies uncovered a glass pipe commonly used for smoking methamphetamine and a baggie filled with methamphetamine. The suspect also possessed a counterfeit credit card and was driving on a suspended driver's license. She was arrested and booked into the Main Jail.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle - Deputies recovered a stolen vehicle in the parking lot of Coconut Willies at the intersection of San Carlos and Lincoln Avenue. The vehicle was confirmed stolen out of San Jose. Deputies were able to lift several fingerprints from the vehicle and the case has been turned over to the Investigations Division.

Case #: 01-028-0369B Burbank Homicide
On January 28, 2006 at approximately 9 PM, Deputies were dispatched to Valley Medical Center to investigate a possible driving under the influence incident. It was determined that the subject was the victim of a homicide on the 100 block of Topeka Avenue, in San Jose.
On that same date, at approximately 8:55 PM, Frank Howard Beech and John Hollman were involved in an argument in front of a residence on the 100 block of Topeka Avenue. Beech punched Hollman on the head with his fists and Hollman fell to the ground. Once Hollman was on the ground, Beech kicked and stomped him several times on his head with his feet.
Hollman was transported by several friends to Valley Medical Center, where he died from his injuries. Beech fled the scene, possibly driving a late 1980’s or early 1990’s diesel blue on blue van. The vehicle is thought to possibly be a Ford and the license plate is unknown.

Kragen's Store West San Carlos
As we found out at our April 2005 BCA meeting the Kragen's on West San Carlos been victim to more than one armed robbery. These robberies seem to occur in the evening usually on Friday or Saturday night. If you have any information on these incidents, please contact the San Jose Police Department.
