Buena Vista Park

Buena Vista Park

Buena Vista Park is a city lot, with two benches and a child's slide and climbing structure. It is landscaped with trees and turf grass.

Burbank has no park of its own, but is near two parks in the City of San Jose. The closest park is the small Buena Vista Park at Scott Avenue and Menker Street, on the eastern boundary of the Burbank district.

Frank M Santana Park

Frank M Santana Park

Santana Park is a larger park, with a child's play structure, baseball field, and public restrooms. It has a large grass area around the baseball field. Noise from adjacent I-280 freeway can detract from the pleasure of this park.

A larger park with more facilities, Frank M. Santana Park, is located at Tisch Way and Monroe Streets, southeast of Santana Row. Click each link for a description of the park and its facilities.

Other Parks

The San Jose Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services maintains an alphabetical directory of city parks on their website.

The Happy Hollow Park and Zoo is re-opening March 20, 2010. Happy Hollow is a child-oriented park and is located at the corner of Senter and Story Roads, 1300 Senter, in Kelley Park.

Hiking and Bicycling

An alternative to a park might be a hiking or biking trail. Santa Clara County offers over 125 miles of hiking and biking trails. Learn more at the Santa Clara County Department of Parks and Recreation website. Click here for bike trails. Click here for hiking trails.

Getting Involved

San Jose Parks Foundation is a newly-formed nonprofit organization established to preserve, promote and enhance our city parks. With dwindling city resources, it is up to private citizens, businesses, and community organizations to support our city parks.
